Echo Sonographer

QUALIFICATIONS:
•  Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of Illinois
•  Needs to possess good human relation and communication skills; critical thinking and judgment skills. 
•  Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide the care appropriate for the patient served.
•  Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status in addition to being able to interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs. 
•  This statement applies to all essential job functions as appropriate in Cardiac Sonography.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Performs Transthorasic Echocardiogram, including 2D, m-mode, PW, CW, color Doppler, Stress and Pharmacological Echocardiograms with high quality images. 
•  Provide preliminary findings and measurements and download exam to Echo Pac in preparation for physician interpretation. Maintain Echo equipment.
•  Comply with departmental quality assurance, policy and procedures, reporting and documentation of abnormalities when indicated and obtaining technical service when necessary.
