Hospital to Host Special Theme Meal & Fundraiser

Kewanee Hospital will be hosting two special summer events next week to help 'beat the heat'.  On Tuesday, July 10th, the Nutrition Services Department will be serving a special Picnic Theme Meal in the comfort of the Hospital's air conditioned Cafe!  Menu items will feature traditional picnic favorites including chicken strips, beef brisket, baked beans, a variety of cold salad selections, cornmeal cheddar biscuits, topped off with watermelon wedges and chocolate chip zucchini bread for dessert.  All items are available ala carte, or visitors can purchase the special Picnic Plate for $6, which includes one entree, two sides, a biscuit and one dessert.  All customers purchasing the Picnic Plate will be entered into a drawing for a fresh homemade strawberry pie. 

On Thursday, July 12th, the Kewanee Hospital Auxiliary will be holding a Frozen Yogurt Sundae Bar in the KH Cafe.  Cool down with a scoop of “fro yo” and toppings of your choice for only $3 per sundae.  At the sundae bar, you can also renew your Auxiliary membership, or join for the first time.  Memberships are only $7 per person.  The KH Auxiliary raises funds for various projects throughout the year, including providing two $1,000 educational scholarships and purchasing equipment for the Hospital.  For more information on the upcoming events, or on how to become an Auxiliary member, call 309.852.7822 or e-mail .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
